Google released a new browser dubbed Chrome recently – you might have noticed if you haven’t been hiding under a rock this past week. Probably due to its Beta status, Google Chrome requires a few helping hints to get Java working as a plugin.
Here’s how to get the Sun Java plugin working in Google Chrome:
- Install Google Chrome (you probably did this already).
- Start Google Chrome.
- Download the “Kernel Installation JRE file
jre-6u10-rc-windows-i586-p-iftw-k.exe”.

- Run
jre-6u10-rc-windows-i586-p-iftw-k.exefrom your download location. - Terminate and restart Google Chrome.
- Verify your install.
